For 24 years, B.G. Smith documented violence in federal law enforcement. Now he writes 100-word stories to process what he saw and explore the moral complexities he couldn’t address on the job. B.G. Smith’s work has been highly commended in the National Flash Fiction Day Micro Fiction Competition (2026) and published in Pocket Fiction, The Drabble, 101 Words, Quotidian Bagatelle, Dark Moments anthology, and over a dozen other literary journals.
